From 25 Apr to 1 May:28th International Descent of the Tiber. This event is an aquatic camping experience that offers lots to do for both sports and nature lovers. Participants go down the river in a canoe and pass by famous Italian art cities where they can stop and visit the towns themselves as well as some extremely evocative archaeological sites. The event is made up of different stopovers (where welcome events and parties are held by the municipalities concerned) and is a way to enjoy the nature and landscapes of Cittą di Castello, Sant'Angelo di Celle and Fratta Todina. Overnight accommodation is in camper vans or local gym halls ROME TENNIS MASTERS SERIES, 5 - 20 May 2007 Until 10 Apr:Italy and Finland face to face This exhibition brings to light the reciprocally inspirational cultural and artistic relationship between Italy and Finalnd. The exhibition is divided into two sections: the Italy section focuses on Italian artistic output in the 20th century and in particular on the period after World War II; the Finnish section is centred on the works of artists who have influenced Italian artistic creation, or who showed a particular interest in Italian art and artists. This exhibition of paintings, sculptures and design displays the artistic interaction between two geographically distant cultures. Until 27 May:Football championships. Until 13 May:Basketball championships The Palalottomatica venue in Rome will light up with the fervour of great basketball, one of the most popular sports on the Italian peninsula. The Italian teams, and in particular Rome's Virtus Roma team, will be contending for the Top Division Tim Trophy.
